Designer Diary: July
Wow, A whole month!
All of this has happened this month. I have been heavily into working on my website and podcast ideas. I am finally ready to record myself. I have a new long-term sustainable project I love. A bit more personal, but it will be great. My site is looking good. I need to improve with Social Media, and I will say it, but I still need to put in the effect I want. I am about to collect all of these entries into the first edition of the designer diary. I have met two new people through networking and intend to meet move. I have been absent from my accelerator Group, lacking its support and the family I was growing up there. I need to foster that again. Other than that, I have also been paying attention to my outreach, so I am devoting this weekend d., to catch-up. Last weekend I also had an event @Brooklyn Grange a rooftop urban farm in the old Brooklyn Navy yard. That was awesome and just made me want to get more involved. It energized my sustainable creativity. I am so excited about the future but must get out of my way. Now go get it!!!
I'm back!
Now two days in a row, back in it. I am a bit down today, the weather is cloudy, and my project has taken a turn. It's a big project ( dream project) that requires some buy-in from my wife, and we aren't seeing eye-to-eye on the vision, and we can both be hard-headed toward one another. Either way, I would love to get planning back on track. Other than that, I am gearing up for a long night; I am closing out nos, + it's about to pay for all branding as we head into beta testing the site. I am getting ready to release my rebranding & hopefully, podcast while celebrating 8 years! I also have a call Thursday w/ Matt Cicanese, so I'm excited about that. Now let me get back to it! See you tomorrow.
What a start to the week!
Something profound told me to work yesterday. It was a rainy & cloudy day and the perfect setup for that focus. Instead, I worked on a project I have wanted to finish for a while, a family meal planner. I even decided to finally try "meatless Mondays," and I'm excited. Besides that, I focused on family and some personal things. It felt great! I
Being on a roll, I said tomorrow, I'm running again! At 6am (working back to 5am), I took a 1-mile run, meditated, and felt super focused and ready for the day. This week will be a weird one. It is Tuesday's 4th of July, smack dab, so I can use the extra time to catch up.
It is also July, and I am getting nostalgic as I approach the 8th anniversary of Bigger Creative. I am more excited about my future now than I was back then. Has it been a great adventure with its fair share of ups and downs, but I wouldn't trade that for anything? That said, stay focused and let's have a great week!

A conscious branding comic studio is not a design shop with comic-book graphics. It is a strategic, story-led, sustainability-minded studio that helps brands understand who they are, what they stand for, and how to make their work easier to believe in.
