Designer Diary: March

It has been a Week…

I launched my public building project, but it has been slower than I thought. I did place a survey on Linked In, and people are interested in the marketing side of things along with my implementation of A.I. ... Last Friday, I was on an accelerator call, and Stephanie & Ben walked me through a session where I was in the hot seat. I couldn't articulate a project I wanted to work on, so they talked me through it a bit. On top of that, I lost a contract on Friday. I was a bit bummed, but after thinking about it, I didn't appreciate that they questioned my hours. After that, the job was sour. Thinking about it, it was getting in the way of the project and my business work. Yesterday I worked with ChatGPT to develop the creative brief. It excited me, and I'll be working on more here today. It has been a great ride, but this is just the beginning. Here's to Tuesday!

It is Time to Step Up in my Project

My build-in public experience has been rather enjoyable, I launched with little fanfare, but that was fine because I didn't want all the spotlight. For some reason, I decided to shed all the years of inactivity and start producing content. I was wrong. During my first week, I was quiet. Then I began to gain some traction my second week, to be setback by a week full of infections. My wife got sick, along with my son. By Sunday, I started to sport a minor illness by my cuticle. On Monday, it was fully infected and swollen two times the size of my other finger. ' I could barely work, and my finger still looks like a walking dead prop. I sit here now, having finished a fantastic project.

The First Case Study in the Books

I will admit it has been a slow #buildinpublic project and after a rough week with a messed up finger. I am finally on a roll...I heard back from my most extensive quote sent to date, and even though it wasn't a yes, she noted that she was seeking funding. I am taking that as a hope, but not counting my chickens before they hatch. My podcast clients have been loving the process. Now I am concentrating on creating a marketing plan, developing the site, creating much-needed videos, and starting on two big projects:

Rebranding Bigger Creative. Developing a primary sustainable education tool.

I also contacted HiHello and wanted to partner for a workshop, but they need a partnership or affiliate program. They blessed me and supplied a Google Docs link with brand assets. I am finally trying to create a case study for my first completed passion. The green collar is a sustainable dog lifestyle brand. The accelerator group loved it so much that he said I should pitch Caesar Milan. I am completely taken aback. I am continuing to find more information on how to connect. I will also be more consistent in sharing processes and transparent. For now, I am calling it a night. Until tomorrow ...Think Bigger.

It's Going to be a Great Day

I woke up today pretty early and closer to my old wake-up time. It felt good, really good! Today I'm updating the site some more, as well as starting to tape some YouTube videos. I will also script some podcast episodes and video ideas with ChatGPT. I am most excited about a new look & feel- I also want to develop my logo more. This has been one of those things I have yet to be okay with just starting. I don't have any calls today, but I will use that to get a headstart on my second passion project. For now, let's get started on the rebrand!
